myEleusis aims to use the sanctuary of the goddess Demeter, one of the most important local points of interest, to promote Eleusis as the 2021 European Capital of Culture. The objective is to introduce visitors to ancient Eleusis and the famous Mysteries through enriched interactive visits to the archaeological site and museum of Eleusis. Personalized experiences will “embrace” users in and out of the site and provide them with plentiful material to use before, during and after the visit.
By combining 3D digitization technologies, virtual and augmented reality, digital storytelling, gamification etc. we will create a series of modern interactive proposals to improve the site’s attractiveness.
This is a collaborative research project implemented under the “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EPAnEK 2014-2020)” Operational Programme and is co-funded by Greece and the European Union. The project partnership is made up of the Directorate of Antiquities of West Attica, the “Athena” Research and Innovation Center, the telecom company CITE, and Mentor and Heritage.
