Site-specific performance at the Archaeological site of Kaveirion in Lemnos, in the framework of the "All of Greece One Culture" 2022 of the Greek Ministry of Culture.

From the Mystic Kaveiri to the refugees of Smyrna, myth and history reveal how the destructive quality of Fire is transformed into the sacred Fire of remembrance of the Greek Civilization that is always reborn from its ashes.

Director/choreographer Apostolia Papadamaki, in the interactive site-specific performance "As Above So Below", proceeds to an artistic exploration of the timeless indivisible concepts that activate the forces of Greek civilization in survival, rebirth and progress and are expressed through time and light.

The performance connects the Kaveirio of Lemnos with the spiritual heritage of the refugees of the Asia Minor Catastrophe, the ritual memories of antiquity and the mystical cult of the Kaveiri. Fire, the element that destroys but also regenerates, becomes the thread that connects the Greeks with the Light and the greatness of the Universe. The performance was experiential and participatory and was implemented in the framework of the"All of Greece One Culture" initiative of the Greek Ministry of Culture, with the support and kind sponsorship of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Lesvos and the Hellenic Tourism Organization.
