myEleusis

Research Projects

Visualising and highlighting archaeological sites through an innovative multifunctional technological system that introduces visitors to the cultural product through interactive experiences.

myEleusis aims to enhance the sanctuary of the goddesses Demeter and Kore; one of the major local points of interest in Eleusis, Greece. The project’s aim is to introduce visitors to ancient Eleusis and the renowned Eleusinian Mysteries through enriched interactive visits to the archaeological site and museum of Eleusis. Personalised experiences “embrace” users in and out of the site and provide them with plentiful material to use before, during and after their visit.

By combining 3D digitisation technologies, virtual and augmented reality, digital storytelling, gamification etc., a series of modern interactive applications/experiences have been created, in order to upgrade the existing promotional methods of ancient Eleusis, install contemporary tools for the public and trigger the region’s sustainable economic development.

myEleusis is a collaborative research project implemented under the “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EPAnEK 2014-2020)” Operational Programme and was co-funded by Greece and the European Union. The project partnership is made up of the Ephorate of Antiquities of West Attica, the “Athena” Research and Innovation Center, the telecom company CITE, and Mentor.

MENTOR undertook the research and text writing, the development of the digital platform of the project (myeleusis.com), the implementation of a digital interactive map (myEleusis.Map), as well as the design and implementation of the visual identity and the communication of myEleusis.
